Making a Flower Card

Here is a quick and simple card that you can make for any occasion. Wether it is for a birthday, Mother’s Day, get well or thank you, it is simple yet cute and adds that personal touch to your gift.

Getting your little one to help with the colouring is a great way to include them and by the time they are a preschooler they can help with the cutting out and pasting too.

First you will need to print the flower sheet which you can find here: flower card

Gather your supplies!

You will need:

  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Printed flower sheet
  • Pencils, textas or paint
  • Coloured paper or stock
  • Green paper

Colour in or paint the flowers and vase on the page. Cut it out and also cut small strips of green paper to become the flower stems.

Fold the coloured piece of paper that will become your card in half and then arrange where you would like the flower stems to go. I placed the vase on the page and then lined up the stems where I wanted them.

Glue the stems to your page and then glue the vase on top and the large flowers over the ends of the stems at the top of the page.

Glue the small flowers on top of the larger flowers, lining up the centres as you go.

Guess what! Your card is complete, all that is left is for you to personalise it with your messages to the recipient!
